Torn ACL KOs Clemson nickel corner Korrin Wiggins

The mini-spate of significant knee injuries continues, with Clemson the latest to lose a key piece of its 2015 squad.

Clemson confirmed in a press release that Korrin Wiggins has been diagnosed with a torn ACL. As a result, the defensive back has been ruled out for the entire 2015 season.

Wiggins sustained the injury as he was attempting to recover a fumble during a situational scrimmage Wednesday morning.

Last season, Wiggins started six games at cornerback for the Tigers. The school noted in its release that Wiggins is one of just four returning defensive players who started six or more games in 2014.

Next season, Wiggins, who has yet to use a redshirt, will be classified as a redshirt junior.
