Treon Harris started for Florida in Week 1. In Week 2, Harris will step aside, at least initially.
In an announcement made on their official website, the Gators revealed that Will Grier will get the start of Harris in this weekend’s game against East Carolina. The start will mark the first of Grier’s career.
While Grier will take the first snap, Harris will get some playing time. Just how much has not been laid out by head coach Jim McElwain.
In the opener against New Mexico State, both quarterbacks put up solid numbers.
Grier completed 16-of-18 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Harris connected on 14 of his 19 passes for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns as well.
