Georgia Tech may have dug an early hole in rainy Durham, but the Yellow Jackets are still within reach in a key ACC Coastal battle between the division’s most recent division champions. Duke leads Georgia Tech 19-10 at the half, but this one is still anyone’s game in the second half.
Duke jumped all over Georgia Tech in the first quarter, putting together a nice 19-3 lead. Shaquille Powell gave Duke a 7-3 lead with a short touchdown run, T.J. Rahming got his hands on a red zone touchdown pass from Thomas Sirk and Powell added another short touchdown run later in the first quarter. Georgia Tech cut the lead down to nine in the second quarter with Justin Thomas tossing a touchdown to Ricky Jeune from 10 yards out.
Duke is actually out-rushing Georgia Tech after one half, 104 yards to 97.
