Injury to Michigan State’s Jack Conklin not of season-ending variety

It is unknown just when Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin will return to the field for the Spartans, but it is expected to happen this season. That is good news for folks around East Lansing today after Conklin left Saturday’s game against Central Michigan with a left knee injury.

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio confirmed the knee injury suffered by the left tackle is not expected to keep him out for the rest of the season, although Dantonio was unsure when Conklin may be able to get back on the field to protect his quarterback, Connor Cook.

Big men and knee injuries rarely lead to good news, so the injury not being one that should cut his season short is relatively good news.
