Georgia LB Jordan Jenkins returns to practice after missing Mizzou game with groin strain

Georgia faces an all-hands-on-deck, must-win game against No. 11 Florida on Saturday. As such, it helps to actually have those hands available to place on the deck.

Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt‘s unit received a major boost Monday when outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins returned to practice. Jenkins missed the Bulldogs’ 9-6 slugfest win over Missouri on Oct. 17 with a groin strain, his first absence in four years with the program.

But with the bye week behind him, the senior felt well enough to return to action just in time for Florida.

“Jordan definitely gets us riled up for a game,” outside linebacker Davin Bellamy told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. “He’s a great player also, and seeing him make a play kinda makes everyone else make a play. So we’re kinda glad to have him back.”

A native of Hamilton, Ga., Jenkins has posted 29 tackles to go with a team-leading 7.5 TFL and three sacks.
