Clemson knocks Ohio State off top spot in AP Top 25

There is a new top team in college football, according to the voters in the Associated Press top 25 poll. No. 1 Clemson wiggled by No. 2 Ohio State for the top spot in the poll this week, receiving five more first-place votes and 29 more points than the Buckeyes. Clemson received 31 first-place votes, while Ohio State picked up 26 first-place votes.

Two first-place votes went to No. 3 Alabama, and two more went to No. 4 Baylor. Alabama jumped up four spots in the AP poll after beating No. 9 LSU (down from No. 4) this weekend. Naylor slipped two spots in the shuffling of the latest AP ranking. No. 5 Oklahoma State rocketed up seven spots this week after beating No. 13 TCU (down from No. 5). No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 7 Stanford, and No. 8 Iowa all move dup in the poll this week by two spots. No. 10 Utah rounds out this week’s top 10 in the AP poll.

New teams in the AP top 25 this week include No. 22 Navy, No. 23 Wisconsin and No. 24 Northwestern.
