Following back-to-back strong performances against Mississippi State and LSU, the Alabama Crimson Tide have become the new national championship favorites as the regular season starts to wind down. Alabama running back Derrick Henry is the betting favorite on another sports book as well.
Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Notre Dame have the four bets odds to win the national championship this season according to the latest update from Las Vegas SuperBook. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State follow, along with Iowa, Florida and TCU. Some long shots include Michigan State, Baylor, North Carolina and Michigan.

The Heisman Trophy picture is down to just six players, according to Bovada’s latest odds. Alabama’s Henry leads the pack as LSU’s Leonard Fournette has slipped into third.

Alabama has just one Heisman Trophy winner in its program history. Running back Mark Ingram took home the hardware just a few years ago. Quarterbacks have generally been the recipient of the award, so it is interesting to see just one quarterback listed. An injury and a loss by TCU’s Trevone Boykin appears to have taken him out of the fold, but a candidate like Navy’s Keenan Reynolds probably deserves at least some odds.
