B1G players accounts for two of four Lott IMPACT Trophy finalists

One it comes to one particular piece of postseason hardware, the Big Ten has a 50-50 chance of bringing home at least one trophy.

The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation announced Wednesday the four finalists for the 12th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy. Two of those come from the Big Ten: Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib and Ohio State linebacker Joshua Perry. The other two finalists are Duke safety Jeremy Cash and Temple linebacker Tyler Matakevich.

The release states that "[t]hese distinguished young men represent the qualities embodied by Hall of Famer Ronnie LottIntegrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.”

None of the schools represented by this year’s finalists have won a Lott Trophy.

UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks was the 2014 recipient of the award. The winner of the 2015 award will be announced Dec. 13.
