Alabama was the dominant team in the SEC in 2015, and it’s showing in the postseason honors that are flowing in for Nick Saban‘s squad.
Tuesday, the Tide garnered 10 first-team All-SEC selections, the most of any school in the conference since UA had 2011. Wednesday, the Tide did something not seen since 2003: claim both Offensive (running back Derrick Henry) and Defensive (linebacker Reggie Ragland) Player of the Year honors.
Florida’s Jim McElwain picked up one of the league’s major honors as he was named Coach of the Year. In his first season in Gainesville, McElwain led the Gators, winners of 11 games the past two years, to a 10-2 regular season record and an SEC East title. It was the program’s first division title since 2009.
Below are the other major individual honors for the conference, as announced via Twitter.
