Mean Green’s Darvin Kidsy arrested in alleged hit-and-run accident

After a little over a month on the job, Seth Littrell has his first off-field incident with which to deal as a head coach.

The Denton Record-Chronicle reported Friday that North Texas’ Darvin Kidsy was arrested Friday morning in connection to an alleged hit-and-run accident. According to the Record-Chronicle, the arrest came after Kidsy turned himself into police after the accident.

No charges have been filed against Kidsy, and police are still searching for what they’re describing as a second suspect, although the junior wide receiver was allegedly the driver. The Record-Chronicle writes that the wreck “involved serious, but non life-threatening injuries” to the driver of the other vehicle.

The paper also ominously notes that "[l]eaving the scene of an accident can be deemed a felony offense under Texas law.”

Kidsy was second on the Mean Green with two receiving touchdowns in 2015, and fourth in receptions (17) and receiving yards (240). His 14.1 yards per catch easily led the team as well.

In 2014, Kidsy average a little over 10 yards per punt return and scored on a 100-yard kickoff return.

UPDATED 3:19 p.m. ET: Kidsy has been charged with involvement in a collision involving personal injury or death. Kidsy was allegedly the driver of a vehicle that went up on a sidewalk and struck two pedestrians.
