The equation has been borne out time and time again: teenagers plus leverage plus attention equals insanity.
The latest example came from Saraland, Ala., wide receiver Velus Jones. A four-star prospect, Jones committed to USC nine months ago, only to dip on the Trojans on Friday for Oklahoma.
“I want to thank every university that gave me a chance to chase my dreams. I want to thank Tennessee and the University of Southern California but I will spend my college years at Oklahoma University,” Jones wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
Rated the No. 63 receiver in the 2016 class, Jones switched back to USC on Saturday.
I have made my final decision to attend the University of Southern California and I'm ending my recruitment FIGHT ON!
