Art Briles invites Jim Harbaugh and Michigan staff to Baylor football camp

Not too long ago Baylor head coach Art Briles made a trip up north to visit Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan program. This type of stuff happens all the time as coaches exchange ideas and philosophies and more in the offseason to improve their own abilities moving forward. Well, perhaps a bromance was born, because Briles has invited Harbaugh and his entire staff down to Waco later this summer to work at a football camp on Baylor’s campus.

Harbaugh and his crew will join Briles and Baylor’s staff as guests for what is sure to be one of a handful of satellite camp experiences for Michigan’s staff. It also helps kickstart the latest round of satellite camp debates that are sure to continue this summer. As a reminder, coaches from the SEC and ACC are not too keen on the idea of coaches from the north traveling into their territory to take advantage of the satellite camp rules outlined by the NCAA. Harbaugh was enemy number one when it came to this tactic a year ago, and he is already booking his summer gigs for another year.

Now, can we just get Michigan and Baylor to schedule a non-conference home-and-home next? That would certainly give Baylor’s typically anemic non-conference schedule a bit of juice if they could make that happen.
