WR T.V. Williams opts to transfer from Kentucky

The post-spring attrition train keeps chugging down the tracks, with Kentucky the latest to see its roster trimmed from where it was at the start of the spring.

Both the Louisville Courier-Journal and Lexington Herald-Leader have reported that T.V. Williams has decided to take his leave of the UK football program. Williams has asked for a release from his scholarship and intends to transfer from the university.

No reason was given for the decision, although it’d be safe to assume that positioning on the depth chart played a role on some level.

In a post made to Twitter, Williams addressed his decision.

Williams was a three-star member of the Wildcats’ 2014 recruiting class. After catching four passes for 64 yards in the first four games of his true freshman season, Williams had just one reception for minus-five yards in a little over a season and a half.
