For the second straight offseason, Utah State has been forced to deal with a car accident involving a member of its football program.
According to multiple media outlets, freshman defensive end Brady Holt sustained critical injuries in a one-car crash over the weekend. The 21-year-old Holt, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from his SUV in the rollover wreck that occurred just before one p.m. local time Saturday.
From the Salt Lake Tribune:According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Holt was injured Saturday at 12:45 p.m. when his northbound SUV drifted into the median and crashed into wooden spools at a construction site. Holt over-corrected and, when the SUV rolled, he was thrown from the vehicle.

Investigators are trying to determine whether drowsy or inattentive driving may have been a factor. There were no witnesses to the crash.Holt remains hospitalized at an Ogden medical center.
