Miami (Ohio) the new home for ex-Auburn lineman Jordan Diamond

Nearly two months after leaving his first college football home, Jordan Diamond has found his second.

While the new destination has yet to announce his addition to the roster, Diamond took to his Twitter account late last month to announce that he will be continuing his playing career at Miami of Ohio. Because he’s coming to the RedHawks as a graduate transfer, Diamond will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.

The upcoming season will be the offensive lineman’s final year of eligibility.

Diamond had announced back in April that he would be transferring from Auburn.

A four-star member of the Tigers’ 2012 recruiting class, Diamond was rated as the No. 28 offensive tackle in the country. In large part because of injuries, however, he never quite climbed to the heights the recruiting pedigree would suggest, playing in just seven games during his AU career.

Interestingly, Auburn was the landing spot for graduate transfer Marshall Taylor, who decided in March to transfer from Miami.
