Baylor suspends two JUCO transfers for team rules violations

Are we seeing a new and improved Baylor football program that (gasp!) makes its football players accountable for their actions? At least in this one instance, yes we are.

While the details are very scant at the moment, 247Sports.com is reporting that offensive lineman B.J. Autry and defensive tackle Jeremy Faulk have been suspended from the team for violating unspecified team rules. No other reason for the twin suspensions were given.

Both linemen came to the Bears as junior college transfers this year, and both participated in spring practice. Given the fact that at least seven members of this year’s recruiting class are seeking a release from their National Letter of Intent, in addition to other attrition, Autry and Faulk were viewed as candidates for immediate playing time in 2016.

The suspensions come a little over a week after Jim Grobe was hired to replace Art Briles, the now-former head coach who was fired in the wake of the sexual assault scandal that’s rocked the campus.
