Sooners lose second receiver to transfer since end of spring

John Humphrey opted to transfer from Oklahoma in April, ultimately ending up at Arizona State. Three months later, another Sooners wide receiver has joined Humphrey on the transfer train out of Norman.

According to multiple media outlets, Dallis Todd has decided to leave OU and transfer to an undetermined elsewhere. No reason has been given for the receiver’s decision, although an opportunity for more playing time might be a good place to start.

For what it’s worth, OU has yet to address Todd’s status with the team moving forward.

A four-star member of the Sooners’ 2014 recruiting class, Todd, a California native, was rated as the No. 31 receiver in the country. The 6-3, 190-pound receiver chose OU over, among others, Nebraska and Ohio State.

After redshirting as a true freshman, Todd caught one pass for nine yards in the six games he played in 2015. 247Sports.com writes that “Todd suffered a neck injury during [this past] spring and missed most of spring ball and consequently would have started training camp down the depth chart.”
