Tevin Beanum zeroing in on return to Arkansas

It appears Tevin Beanum‘s sabbatical is close to coming to an end.

Beanum did not appear on Arkansas’ 105-man roster prior to the start of summer camp, with head coach Bret Bielema stating that the defensive end was dealing with an unspecified situation. Earlier this week, however, the coach said a return for Beanum should be no more than a week and a half.

“We expect Tevin to join us for sure when school starts if not maybe before,” Bielema said. “I talked to him Sunday and he was really, really upbeat about everything.”

The first classes at UA this year commence Aug. 22.

As a redshirt sophomore last season, Beanum started eight games. His seven tackles for loss were fifth on the team.

Exiting spring this year, Beanum was projected as a starting end for the Razorbacks.
