On the same day it was reported that Oklahoma was losing a defensive lineman, said lineman has already reportedly found a home.
Tulsa World reported late Friday that Courtney Garnett was no longer a part of the OU football program. Whether it was his choice or the departure was forced has not been made clear.
Regardless of the reason or manner, it was subsequently reported that the defensive tackle would be moving on to Grambling State.

As Grambling competes at the FCS level, Garnett will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.
A three-star 2014 signee, Garnett was rated as the No. 27 player at any position in the state of Louisiana. It was originally thought Garnett was headed to Notre Dame before he opted for OU on National Signing Day.
After redshirting as a true freshman, Garnett did not see the field in 2015.
