Nebraska WRs coach Keith Williams cited for DUI

It doesn’t happen often, but an assistant coach is the latest to reset the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker.

Nebraska wide receivers coach Keith Williams was cited early Sunday morning for driving under the influence with a BAC above .15. Other than the the fact the assistant was ticketed after a two-car wreck, no other details surrounding that situation are available at this time.

Perhaps most concerning for the Cornhuskers football program, Williams has two previous convictions for DUI. Shortly after news of the incident went public, the program released the following statement:

The Nebraska Athletics Department is aware of the incident involving Assistant Coach Keith Williams. We will continue to gather additional information and will withhold further comment at this time.

Last season was Williams’ first with the Cornhuskers.
