Vols lineman Chance Hall out 4-6 weeks after knee scope

The speculation regarding the health of a potential starting lineman for Tennessee has, unfortunately, proven to be accurate.

Reports began surfacing Thursday that Chance Hall had undergone successful surgery to repair a non-ACL injury in one of his knees. Later in the day, UT head coach Butch Jones confirmed that the offensive lineman had arthroscopic surgery on his knee.

As a result, Hall will miss 4-6 weeks.

Should the lineman be sidelined for four weeks, he’d miss games against Appalachian State and Virginia Tech. If the longer end of the prognosis comes to fruition, Hall would miss games against Ohio and Florida as well.

Last season as a true freshman, Hall started the last seven games at right tackle for the Vols. Along with redshirt junior Brett Kendrick and redshirt freshman Drew Richmond, Hall was expected to man one of the two tackle positions heading into the 2016 season.
