WATCH: USC player cleat-stomps an Alabama player’s groin

We may have been a little premature on our proclamation earlier today. And, given the area of the human body this latest development involves, we might’ve been a bit flippant with our language usage in the previous sentence as well.

Late in the LSU-Wisconsin game, Badger defensive back D’Cota Dixon was on the receiving end of a neck-high cheapshot from Tigers offensive lineman Josh Boutte, which we proclaimed took home “Dirtiest Cheapshot Award” for Week 1. In the Alabama-USC game, however, the Tide’s Minkah Fitzpatrick was on the receiving end of some dirty that landed a little further south courtesy of the Trojans’ Jabai Ruffin and put the defensive end neck-and-groin with Boutte for cheapshot honors.

After being penalized for a “personal foul, cleat stomp to a grown man’s tentacles,” Ruffin was ejected from the game.

At the time of this posting, the Trojans are feeling Fitzpatrick’s pain in getting boot-stomped in their nether regions as the Tide holds a commanding 38-3 lead at the end of the third quarter.
