Family of late Nebraska P Sam Foltz victims of theft while away at Huskers game

An emotional day for the Foltz family was also a maddening one.

While the nephews of late Nebraska punter Sam Foltz led the Huskers on the field and the entire family watched the team honor their loss in a ceremonial tribute, a group of thieves in the family’s hometown targeted the vacant family.

According to KLKN-TV, the Greeley County (Neb.) Sheriff’s office as confirmed Foltz’s brother was Jordan and his family were the victims of theft. The sheriff’s office said they returned home to find a TV and tools out of Jordan Foltz’s Jeep missing, totaling a loss of around $1,400.

Jordan Foltz posted on Facebook:

“These past few weeks have been some of the most hard, tiring, emotional and trying times I’ve ever ran up against in my thirty years on this earth as I lost a friend a role model and most importantly a brother. And tonight as we celebrated and mourned my brother for all he accomplished in his career as a Person a Nebraskan and a Husker in Lincoln...was back here in our home town breaking into my house and my vehicles probably seeing our family as a easy target as we were all in Lincoln.”

Nebraska won the game, at least, 43-10.
