LSU fan starts online donation campaign to buyout contract of Les Miles

It seemed as though Les Miles was walking on thin ice in Baton Rouge at the end of the 2015 season. One game into the 2016 season and Miles is already starting to skate on that thin ice once more. One fan of the Tigers is already taking donations to try and buyout Miles’ contract.

LSU fan Andy Denicola has launched a Go Fund Me campaign in hopes of raising enough money to help LSU buyout the remainder of Miles’ contract because, as he puts it, "[it’s] time for a change.”

“Apparently, our flagship university can’t afford to buy him out of his contract,” Denicola states in his mission statement. “So I figured if we raised the money then they wouldn’t have any excuse as to why we can’t fire him.” Ahh yes, this is sure to work.

Although it is highly unlikely this campaign will raise a fraction of the funds needed to even make a buyout a realistic option for LSU, the good news is Denicola has a backup plan lined up. All funds raised through this online effort will be donated to Louisiana flood relief causes, so the money will be going to a more worthwhile use in the end. The online campaign’s goal is to reach $1 million.
