A month and a half after leaving Missouri, Harold Brantley will drop a couple of rungs on the college football ladder in restarting his playing career.
On his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon, Brantley confirmed that he has decided to transfer into the Northwest Missouri State football program and is eligible to play in 2016. The Bearcats play at the Div. II level, meaning the defensive lineman doesn’t have to sit a season.

In early August, Mizzou confirmed that Brantley would be leaving the university in a departure that was related to academics.
Brantley, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, sustained a broken tibia, knee ligament damage and multiple fractured ribs in a rollover wreck that happened Father’s Day weekend last year. Following surgeries to repair the damage, he missed the entire 2015 season.
The season before, he started 10 of 14 games for the Tigers. As a redshirt freshman in 2013, the Pennsylvania native started six games.
