The bad news for Wisconsin is that one of the most disruptive secondary players in the country is dealing with a health issue. The good news is that it’s not expected to impact his availability moving forward.
A UW official confirmed to madison.com that Derrick Tindal underwent hat was described as a minor surgiical procedure on his right hand this week. The Badgers, who are on a bye this weekend, don’t expect the cornerback to miss any playing time because of the injury and subsequent procedure.

Tindal is one of 15 players nationally through the first five weeks of the season, a figure that’s tied for fifth in the country. His eight passes defensed are tied for third at the FBS level. Both those totals are either tied for the Big Ten league (former) or leads the conference (latter).
