LSU-Florida game will be played in The Swamp; time to be determined

It appears that the Florida State-Miami game will go off as planned Saturday. The same came nearly be said for another important Power Five matchup in the northern part of the state.

With Hurricane Matthew making its way up the East Coast, Florida announced late Wednesday afternoon that its game scheduled for Saturday against LSU in The Swamp will not be moved from Gainesville. There had been some chatter that the game could be relocated to Baton Rouge, although that ultimately proved to be unnecessary.

However, the kick-off time is still to be determined.

Right now, the game is set to start at noon Eastern Time. A final decision on the start time will be made by 1 p.m. ET Thursday.

In its release, UF stated that the university is “working closely with local, state and University officials as well as the Southeastern Conference office to monitor the progress of Hurricane Matthew and its potential impact on campus and the safety of the fans.” For those attending he game, the school noted that there will be no overnight parking lots for this weekend’s game, but that all available lots will open on Saturday at 8 a.m. ET.
