Arkansas’ second-leading tackler out 4-6 weeks with broken foot

A game wasn’t the only thing Arkansas lost Saturday.

In the first quarter of the loss to SEC West rival Alabama, Dre Greenlaw sustained what was later diagnosed to be a broken right foot. Bret Bielema stated Monday that the injury will sideline the sophomore linebacker 4-6 weeks.

Greenlaw will miss games against Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida and LSU. A return in mid-November could have him back for games against Mississippi State Nov. 19 or the regular-season finale vs. Missouri Nov. 25.

The news is actually encouraging as the Razorbacks head coach initially thought Greenlaw would be sidelined for the remainder of the season because of the injury.

Greenlaw is currently second on the team with 36 tackles. He’s tied for the team lead in solo tackles with 20 and fumble recoveries with two.
