FSU safety Nate Andrews to undergo season-ending surgery

Florid aState safety Nate Andrews will be lost for the remainder of the 2016 season. Andrews suffered a partially torn pectoral muscle in his right shoulder during Florida State’s victory over Miami on Saturday night. He will undergo season-ending surgery.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced the injury status today after a practice. Andrews started three games for the Seminoles this season, and appeared in four total games. Injuries actually cost him the first two games of the year as well, with a calf injury putting him on the sideline for the first two games.

Andrews had plenty of experience at the position for Florida State, having appeared in 45 games since his 2013 freshman season. He led the team with four interceptions as Florid aState went on to win the BCS national championship that season.
