DB Eric Ogor suspended by Baylor for rest of 2016 season

The silver lining in another negative headline involving the Baylor football program? This one reportedly doesn’t involve Title IX-related issues or investigations.

The Waco Tribune is reporting that defensive back Eric Ogor has been been suspended for the remainder of the 2016 season. The only reason given was unspecified violations of team rules.

According to SicEmSports.com, the suspension has nothing to do with a Title IX violation.

While Ogor is suspended, he will remain on scholarship but will not be permitted to practice with the team. According to the Tribune, he could return to the Bears for spring practice.

Ogor dressed for two games last season but ultimately took a redshirt for his true freshman season. This year, the former three-star recruit played in three games for the unbeaten Bears.
