Florida to refund tickets to LSU or Presbyterian games

The Florida Gators likely have this covered under some insurance policy, but the school is going to refund fans who own tickets to either the cancelled home game against Presbyterian or the re-located SEC tilt with LSU.

Yesterday it was announced the game between Florida and LSU that was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew this past weekend will be made up on November 19. The catch was the home game in Gainesville would now become a home game for LSU in Baton Rouge, as LSU was firm on not losing a home game. As a result, both SEC schools had to cancel games originally scheduled against non-conference opponents, with Florida calling off a game against Presbyterian from the FCS and LSU pulling out of a home game against South Alabama. That left Florida without two home games it was counting on having this season, which cuts into the budget.

The good news for fans with tickets to either Florida home game no longer on the schedule is the university was quick to inform of a refund policy. Fans will be given the choice to have the price of their tickets this season credited to next season (which is now a strong looking home schedule for the Gators), or receive a full refund. If fans want a refund, they must request for it by October 28.
