LOOK: Group at Baylor homecoming parade skewers school with ‘sweep scandal under the rug’ float

Baylor has been (rightly) criticized by outsiders for how it handled -- or mishandled -- the sexual assault scandal that cost the football head coach, the athletic director and president their jobs earlier this year. As it turns out, some inside the university have issues with it as well.

Saturday was Baylor’s homecoming football game, which, of course, means a parade prior to the contest. One of the “floats” in the parade featured a rug being towed by a pickup truck, with members of a group called “NoZe Brotherhood” carrying brooms alongside and sweeping items underneath the rug.

Consider the message loudly delivered.

As for the group responsible? Deadspin describes them as “a Baylor secret society that runs a satirical newspaper and is known for campus pranks.”
