Arkansas could find itself without the services of one of the most productive members of its passing attack for its postseason matchup with Virginia Tech.
Bret Bielema said Wednesday that Jared Cornelius has been limited in practice this week because of a lingering knee injury. The wide receiver sustained the injury in the regular-season finale against Missouri late last month.
Bielema intimated that Cornelius likely wouldn’t be involved with the offense but could contribute on special teams, although even that’s in doubt.
“He may be involved maybe in the kick game and stuff, but from the line of scrimmage, I don’t know,” the head coach said according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
Cornelius is currently tied for second on the Razorbacks with four touchdown receptions and is third in receiving yards with 515. His 32 receptions are fourth on the team, while his 16.8 yards per catch is second amongst Hogs receivers with more than five receptions.
