Reserve Florida DE Justus Reed tweets decision to transfer

With no room available at the playing-time inn, Justus Reed has decided to ply his football-playing wares elsewhere.

On his personal Twitter account Thursday, the Florida defensive end announced that he will be moving on from the Florida football program. “I think it is in my best interest after talking it over with my family that I transfer and try to find a new home for the next few years,” Reed wrote.

A three-star member of the Gators’ 2014 recruiting class, Reed took a redshirt as a true freshman. The past two seasons, the defensive lineman played in a total of 11 games.

This spring, Reed was third on the depth chart, which is essentially all you need to know about the decision to transfer.
