FSU prez: ‘I think we’re gonna beat Alabama pretty bad next week’

Bulletin board, meet material. Not that it’s necessarily needed, of course.

As you may have heard, there’s a rather huge football game when the first full opening weekend of the 2017 college football season kicks off in eight days, with top-ranked Alabama and third-ranked Florida State getting it on at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Dome in Atlanta. It’s one of the most anticipated openers, if not the most anticipated opener, in the history of the sport.

The 1 vs. 3 matchup is also believed to be the first-ever opener featuring two teams ranked this high.

Everybody has an opinion and/or prediction as to how the game will play out, and most aren’t afraid to share them. One of those individuals with an opinion, FSU president John Thrasher, probably should’ve gone the opposite direction and kept it to himself.

FSU Prez John Thrasher is ready: “I shouldn’t talk too much trash, but I think we’re gonna beat Alabama pretty bad next week. I really do.”

The Crimson Tide, incidentally, is listed a seven-point favorite over the Seminoles by Bovada.lv.
