FLORIDA OC DAN MULLEN TAKES TOP SPOT AT MISSISSIPPI STATE

A week after the resignation of Sylvester Croom, Mississippi State has its man: Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen.A guru of the spread offense, Mullen has been the right-hand man of Florida head coach Urban Meyer, both in Gainesville and before that at Utah and Bowling Green. Quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Alex Smith both owe a lot of their success to Mullen.Mississippi State desperately needs some flash on offense, having been ranked outside the top 100 in total offense in every year with Croom at the helm. Mullen will bring that flash.One issue that is not yet resolved is whether Mullen will stay with Florida through the national championship game.
