AUBURN’S STAR RECRUIT SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO

After failing twice to qualify academically, there have been concerns that the third time won’t be a charm for Auburn recruit DeAngelo Benton.Apparently those fears are unfounded.According to Auburn assistant head coach and receivers coach Trooper Taylor, Benton is good to go academically."DeAngelo’s going to be fine,” Taylor told the Birmingham News. “DeAngelo didn’t get it done in time to come in in December, but it’s already done. So he’ll be fine."Not only will Benton be fine off the field, he will, Taylor said, be just fine on the field as well. Even as it’ll be nearly two years since his last meaningful action. To illustrate his point, the assistant coach gives a geometry lesson. I think."He was a play-maker and I can tell you this: You don’t go to sleep a circle and wake up a square,” Taylor said. “If he could play ball, he can play ball. That’s the one thing I saw in the kid... But he’s still got to come in and prove it.”
