FRIEND SAYS BRADFORD RETURNING FOR SENIOR YEAR, TOO

Somewhat lost amidst the “Will he? Won’t he?” hoopla of Sam Bradford‘s decision to forego the NFL draft and return to Oklahoma is the fact that the quarterback has two years of eligibility remaining. Most assume, and probably rightfully so, that Bradford will be gone to the NFL after this season and leave a year of eligibility on the table.A good friend and former teammate, however, doesn’t necessarily think that’ll be the case. In fact, he makes a prediction that goes against the conventional line of thinking of nearly everyone associated with the game.”I bet right now, he’s planning on going back again,” former Oklahoma center Jon Cooper told the Daily Oklahoman. “That could change, but right now, there’s no thought of leaving in his mind."It’s one thing to have NFL riches staring you square in the face and turning it down once; it’s a seemingly different animal to do it twice. While it’s way too early to begin making any kind of prediction what Bradford -- or anyone else, for that matter -- will do, it is something to keep in the back of your mind when January of 2010 rolls around.
