PRINCE TO RETURN TO VIRGINIA

After getting run out of Manhattan, Kansas in just three seasons, it looks like Ron Prince will return to the familiar confines of Virginia, where he’ll formally rejoin Al Groh’s coaching staff. Yet with the offensive coordinator job recently given to Gregg Brandon, the former Bowling Green head coach hired to install the spread offense he ran for the past five years with the Falcons, Prince will come in with the title of associate head coach and special teams coordinator.Prince’s titles continue to illustrate the creative ways coaches will lure in assistants, many times through not only money, but new and extended titles. He’ll join a staff with an offensive coordinator, running game coordinator, and assistant special teams coordinator.Groh is still expected to fill one more vacancy, hopefully hiring a linebackers coach in the near future, and quite possibly could be hiring a new defensive coordinator, will Bob Diaco being rumored to be joining Brian Kelly’s staff at Cincinatti.
