Portly FSU Signee Leaving The Program

A little more than five months after becoming one the more ballyhooed members of Florida State’s 2009 recruiting class, offensive lineman Aubrey Phillips has turned (rather large) tail and headed back home to Mississippi, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

According to The Sentinel, Phillips has left the FSU program and will not play for the ‘Noles in 2009.

Citing a source, the paper writes that Phillips showed up for summer workouts tipping the scales at over 340 pounds. Given his curvy physique, Phillips reportedly had problems keeping up during some of the workouts.

Brantley had been listed at 310 pounds, but, in this exclusive video of a recent FSU workout obtained by CFT, it’s quite obvious that the lineman had let himself go since Signing Day.

(The pertinent video sequence begins at :42, and mercifully ends at :53)

(And, much like the DeAndre Brown video earlier today, the squeamish might want to avoid it altogether.)
