Who Failed To Bow To St. Timothy?

The SEC announced earlier this afternoon their preseason all-conference teams as voted on by the coaches, and there were three unanimous selections.

The trio of players picked by all 11 coaches -- coaches aren’t permitted to vote for their own players -- to the first team were Tennessee safety Eric Berry, LSU lineman Ciron Black and Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Tim Tebow, arguably the greatest player in college football today let alone the SEC, was not a unanimous first-team pick.

I have no idea who the coach or coaches were that didn’t place Tebow atop their quarterback ballot, but I have a guess as to the identity of at least one of the non-believers.

And it rhymes with “Schmane Schmiffin”.

Anyway, Florida led the proceedings with 16 players placed on the first three teams, while LSU was next up with 10.

Alabama and Georgia followed closely behind with nine apiece. Each school in the conference had at least two players named to one of the three teams.
