Early Wednesday morning, Boise State running back Michael Atkinson was arrested for driving under the influence, the Idaho Statesman is reporting.
In addition to the DUI, Atkinson was also charged with misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident.
According to a police report obtained by the paper, the back struck a “barrier” -- Sergio Kindle chuckles at a mere “barrier” -- shortly before 1:30 a.m. this morning. After striking said barrier, Atkinson proceeded to walk away from the scene.
When he was picked up by police a few blocks away from the scene, his BAC registered between .15 and .17.
The university is aware of the incident and, per the paper, is following the student-conduct policy in regards to the arrest.
