In the aftermath of yet another disappointing loss this weekend, Illinois head coach Ron Zook admitted he had entertained the notion of benching long-time starting quarterback Juice Williams.
Zook, apparently, continued to entertain that notion and has decided to reverse course, benching Williams for this Saturday’s game with Michigan State.
Zook made the announcement on his radio show earlier this morning.
Taking the place of the senior will be junior Eddie McGee.
