Still no hint of a timetable for Dez’s return

For those who were looking for a swift resolution to the Dez Bryant situation, you can move on. There’s nothing to see here.

The great monolith known as the NCAA has yet to issue a ruling on Bryant, and head coach Mike Gundy said he doesn’t have any clue as to when one may come down.

“They (the NCAA) have a formula and a way to handle issues and I guess they are following it,” the Oklahoma State head coach said. “Until they let the (OSU) compliance staff know something, we’ll just continue to press on.”

Bryant has missed the last three games after being suspended by the school for admitting he lied to the NCAA about his relationship with Deion Sanders. The NCAA has conducted/is conducting an investigation into the relationship,

Gundy said Bryant is not handling being kept away from the playing field very well.

“I would say that he’s not doing very good,” Gundy said. “The penalty has certainly worked. By him not being able to play in the last three games, it extremely difficult for him to handle that. He understands he made a mistake and he wished he didn’t now.”

Translation? He’s learned his lesson, NCAA. Let him play.

Or, as the Daily Oklahoman put it: Time served should be enough.
