Yesterday, there were reports of Bob Stoops laying waste to a Chicago Sun-Times article that had Notre Dame interested in his services and the Sooner coach having a reciprocal interest.
Today, it’s Kirk Ferentz being relatively dismissive of the same Irish talk.
Speaking to the media, the Iowa head coach -- while not completely shooting down the latest talk -- said he likes where he’s at and doesn’t anticipate going anywhere.
“It’s gossip talk,” Ferentz said. “That’s the last thing I’ve thought about. I’ve been here 20 years, and I kind of like my job.”
“I like it where I’m at.”
Ferentz signed a contract extension earlier this year that would keep him at Iowa through the 2015 season.
