Petrino interviews for Hilltopper vacancy

No, not that Petrino.

According to ESPN.com‘s Pat Forde, Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino -- younger brother of Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino -- has interviewed for the head coaching opening at Western Kentucky.

The coordinator flew to Western Kentucky Saturday night following the Razorbacks’ 42-21 win over Mississippi State Saturday to speak to school officials about the vacancy.

In his second season as Arkansas’ coordinator, the younger Petrino has directed the top offense, yardage-wise, in the SEC this season. Their 445.2 yards per game is No. 13 in the nation.

Of course, and to the best of my knowledge, there is no quarterback on the Hilltoppers’ current roster whose name or ability even remotely rhymes with “Ryan Mallett”.
