Strong not talking Louisville just yet

With the sting of a stunning loss to Alabama still fresh on his mind, Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong fielded numerous questions about the Louisville opening in the aftermath but offered no fresh insight on his future.

Strong has been tapped as the leading contender for the opening by various media outlets, but the coordinator said his focus all the past week had been on the SEC Championship game and he hadn’t given the Cardinals job much thought.

“You want to be interested,” Strong said about the job, “but I just haven’t had a chance to think about it. I was worried about this game and this game only.”

It had been reported that Strong sit down and interview for the opening shortly after the title game, but it’s uncertain at this point in time whether or not a meeting has been scheduled.
