It was widely reported Monday that Brian Kelly would interview for the Notre Dame opening today in New York City.
The Cincinnati coach even went to Twitter yesterday to confirm that he had told his players that he would listen to what the Irish have to say.
Kelly again took to Twitter this morning, only this time to announce that he will not be interviewing with the Irish today.
“I’m just in NYC for the Hall of Fame dinner. No interview today- Believe ME,” Kelly tweeted at about 12:20 ET this afternoon.
Just when Kelly will interview remains to be seen, but one thing does remain certain -- barring an unexpected change of heart, the Bearcats coach will be interviewing for the vacancy at some point in the very near future.
