Prince’s bowl availability could be known by week’s end

By the time the weekend rolls around, UCLA will have an idea of whether Kevin Prince will be available for their bowl game Dec. 29.

Or, at the very least, have a better handle on the quarterback’s status.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Prince tested his injured throwing shoulder during practice today, and the starter said that the practice performance “was a step forward.” It still wasn’t enough to get him out of the injury woods quite yet, however.

“I imagine, by the end of this week, I’ll know for sure,” Prince said. “If it keeps improving and I’m able to do more and more, I’ll be fine. If it gets worse, or doesn’t get better, by end of this week, I might not play.”

The Bruins will face Temple in the EagleBank Bowl at the end of this month.
