Most people, whether they be the fans or media or both, are operating under the assumption that it’s a matter of when, not if, Urban Meyer returns to the coaching sidelines from his leave of absence.
While there has been nothing remotely official from either Meyer or anyone officially connected to the university, there is chatter as to just when the Gators head coach could return. Or will return.
According to ESPNU by way of the Miami Herald, running back recruit Mack Brown claims that he was told by Meyer that the coach will return to the program in August. There was no other context given to Brown’s statement.
This does fall in line, though, with what linebacker Ryan Stamper said on Wednesday, when the senior also claimed that the coach would return during the same time frame the recruit laid out.
